Among the many victims of war, children are the most vulnerable, suffering the most damage and the most painful trauma. According to a UNICEF report on the impact of conflict on children (March 2016), 3.7 million children have been born since 2011 and have known nothing but war in their lives. Cohabiting with the horror of the war they experience on a daily basis, witnessing the death or flight of family members, peers and teachers, Syrian children have been deprived of the joys of childhood.
Convinced that they are the future, Smile Younited's mission is to bring them support, smiles, joy and, above all, hope for a future darkened by years of murderous war.
